Data Deletion

Sequel connects to accounts you own, such as your databases, analytics properties, and social accounts, and reads from them to answer your questions. You can remove that data at any time. This page explains how.

1. Delete the data for a single connection
If you want to remove one connected account but keep using Sequel, disconnect that source:
- Sign in to Sequel and open Settings.
- Find the connection you want to remove under Connections.
- Click Disconnect.
Disconnecting immediately deletes the stored access token or credentials for that source, along with the schema details, saved instructions, and cached query results associated with it. Sequel can no longer read from that account.
2. Revoke access from the provider
Disconnecting in Sequel removes our copy of your credentials. You can additionally revoke Sequel's access from the provider's own settings.
In the Instagram app or on instagram.com, go to Settings and privacy, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Select Sequel and choose Remove. This revokes the access token Instagram issued to Sequel.
Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions, select Sequel, and choose Remove access.
For other providers, revoke access from the connected apps or integrations section of that provider's account settings.
3. Delete your account and all data
To delete your Sequel account and everything associated with it, email musthaq@sequel.sh from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We action these requests within 5 business days and confirm by email once complete.
Once an account is deleted:
- All stored credentials and access tokens are revoked and removed immediately
- Personal data is removed from production systems within 24 hours
- Data is permanently deleted from all backups within 30 days
- Anonymised aggregate data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics
Some records may be retained longer where required by law or to resolve a dispute.
