Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Sequel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including individuals, teams, and organisations.

2. Description of service

Sequel is an AI-powered data analysis tool that allows users to connect databases, ask natural language questions, and receive answers in the form of data, charts, and insights. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with tiers described on our pricing page.

3. Accounts and workspaces

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at musthaq@sequel.sh if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

Each workspace is an isolated environment. Workspace administrators control access permissions and are responsible for managing members.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Access data or systems you are not authorised to access
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models or infrastructure
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or disruptive data
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent

5. Your data

You retain full ownership of the data in your connected databases. By connecting a database, you grant Sequel a limited, revocable licence to access that data solely to provide the Service on your behalf. We do not claim any ownership over your data.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its interface, codebase, models, and documentation, is owned by Sequel and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements without prior written permission.

7. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sequel does not guarantee that AI-generated query results are always accurate. You are responsible for validating any data before acting on it in a business context.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sequel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the product. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
