Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Dodo Payments to Sequel?

In the Dodo Payments dashboard go to Developer → API Keys, add a key with 'Enable write access' unchecked, and paste it into Sequel. Pick 'test' if the key was created in test mode. That's it; no OAuth and nothing to install.

Can Sequel change anything in my Dodo Payments account?

No. Sequel only calls list and read endpoints, and we recommend a read-only key so the credential itself cannot create refunds, products or subscriptions.

Are amounts in dollars or cents?

Dodo Payments returns every amount in the currency's smallest unit (cents for USD, yen for JPY). Sequel's agent knows this and divides before reporting, and never sums across currencies without saying so.

Does it work with test mode?

Yes. Test mode is a separate environment with its own keys; choose 'test' when connecting and Sequel will query test.dodopayments.com instead of live.
